Studio Equipment Rental RequirementsAnyone
wishing to rent the studio equipment must meet the following requirements:
- You must be a current (paid
up or Life) member of BEPS. This equipment is not to be used by nor loaned to
any individual not meeting this membership requirement.
- You
must attend the equipment orientation given by the Studio Equipment Chairman.
Reorientation may be required at the discretion of the Chair as new equipment
is added.
- You must contact
the Chairman to reserve such lighting equipment as may be needed for your project.
Your project must be approved by the Chairman.
- There
is a rental charge of $10.00 per day. You may make reasonable arrangements for
the pick-up and return of the equipment, as necessary, with the Chairman. The
rental fee only applies to the number of days of actual use. This should not be
misconstrued to mean that you may pick-up the equipment, use it for one or two
days and then not return it for a month.
- Payment
arrangements are to be made at the time of reservation. Normally, payment is made
after the equipment is used. Checks, made payable to BEPS, are preferable but
cash is acceptable. We have no provision for payment by credit card.
- All
equipment must be returned in an "as issued" condition - clean and properly stored.
Individuals are not held responsible for repairs or replacement of this equipment;
due to normal wear and tear. An exception to this rule would be: If one or more
backdrops are used they must be cleaned, if necessary, at the expense of the individual
renting the equipment.
- You
must report any equipment problems to the Chairman as soon as possible.
The Club assumes no responsibility
for the unavailability of this equipment for a specific date due to unforeseen
repair or replacement requirements. Board approved activities shall have priority
over the rental by individuals. Specifically, due to the use of the studio equipment
during our Portrait Shoots (our primary Club fund raisers) the equipment is not
available 6 to 8 weeks prior to each shoot. This is to allow enough time for the
equipment to be checked out and any repairs or replacements to be made. No rentals
will be scheduled until all re-shoots have been completed. |
