Darkroom Rental PolicyThe
darkroom is provided to our members for the purposes of allowing them to learn
the art and techniques of B&W and color printing and for their continuing enjoyment
of this aspect of photography. The darkroom is not to be used for "Commercial"
or "For Pay" purposes nor is it to be used by or loaned to any individual not
meeting the Darkroom Rental Requirements.
The following are a few
(but not the only) examples of the approved uses: - Any
activity approved by the Board of Directors. The making of prints for the Special
Olympics is an example of such approved activity. The 'no pay' rule applies to
such events. Approval must be obtained prior to the activity taking place.
- The making of prints for a wedding
or other activity (birthdays, commencements, graduation, etc.) of a family member
or friend as long as the individual is not being paid or compensated for their
efforts.
- The making of prints
of a 'collection' for insurance documentation.
- The
making of prints for use in competition.
- The
making of prints for your personal enjoyment.
The
following are a few (but not the only) examples of NOT
approved uses: - The
making of prints of any 'Special Event' or activity that has not been pre-approved
by the Board of Directors.
- The
making of prints for a wedding or other activity (birthdays, commencements, graduation,
etc.) for which you receive pay or compensation.
- The
making of prints of a 'collection' for the purposes of selling said 'collection'.
- The making of prints which
you intend to "sell". This would not apply to one or two prints which are being
'sold' to or being 'exchanged' for the services of a model or objects.
